Define MARRIAGE.... (Talking about that, I might be getting married soon by God's Grace)

You know how we grew up to know the standard definition of a noun to be "A noun is the name of Person, an animal, place or thing" now this definition is standard, and despite how fickle the English language is, it is still the widely taught definition (that's before my "Department of English Language"  students dig deeper for jargon which we appreciate) Now the word MARRIAGE has metamorphosed so rapidly in the recent past. I know the definition of marriage to be "The union in matrimony between a Man and a Woman, bound by Law, Tradition or Religion" (roughly, not like I'm  a priest or something)

but lately, with the whole legalizing of same sex marriage in the USA, and the transgender issue, the definition of marriage and gender are becoming a little bit blur for comfort. Since people a marrying same sex, animals, plants and objects, maybe the definition of marriage should be edited to "Marriage is the union in matrimony between a Man or Woman and a person, an animal, plant or thing.
